I have just returned from a Conference where the lack of suitable sites for development was high on the agenda.  So this article piqued my interested, in stressing not just the need for affordable housing, but the need for affordable housing that people genuinely want to live in.

We work with a number of housing associations across the country who are trying to achieve exactly this:  A great place to live for their residents.  Those homes need to be near places of work, and also offer residents the opportunity to really get involved.

It is not just around building homes - it is about building communities.  There are some great examples of social investment by housing associations up and down the country and from which we can all learn.
